Stainless Steel Faucet Manufacturer MGS Makes Donation to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore

MGS USA delivers first round of faucets from faucet-match program to one of the nation’s leading non-profit organizations in South Florida.

Boca Raton, Florida – Rolling out what is proving to be a successful partnership, MGS USA donated the first round of faucets to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore last week. MGS USA, the North American division of the Italian-based faucet manufacturer specializing in unique stainless steel designs, recently entered into the six month (and possibly beyond) partnership with Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County. Under the partnership, MGS USA created a rewarding program where for every MGS faucet sold, a kitchen faucet (builder-grade brand) is donated to Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County. Regional showrooms participating in the program receive name recognition and a certificate of collaboration for each MGS faucet they sell.

Giving back to the community in a very generous way, Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore outlets accept donated home improvement goods from local manufacturers like MGS USA for resale. The donated goods are sold to the general public at a fraction of the retail price to help local affiliates fund the construction of Habitat for Humanity homes within their communities. MGS USA’s faucet donation gives back to the South Palm Beach community in two ways: it will allow the public to purchase a kitchen faucet at a reasonable price during tough economic times, and will raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build homes.

MGS USA’s first round of donations to Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County was a rewarding experience. “We are very excited with the response and support we received for our MGS faucet-match program,” began Eric Goldman of MGS USA. “It is a great organization and we make it a family commitment to try and give back to our local community. Our campaign raises awareness with consumers who shop in our dealer’s showrooms and it brings the decorative plumbing category into an arena that has been monopolized by the big box retailers. We have sent out hang tags for the showrooms to put on their MGS faucets to highlight and promote the program. There is great need now for home improvement goods; as people are in need while the nation recovers from the economic crisis.” Due to the success of the program, MGS plans to make several more rounds of faucet donations to Habitat for Humanity in the upcoming months.

Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County is South Florida’s chapter of one of the nation’s largest non-profit organizations. Each partner family is required to invest 500 hours of their own time in the construction of Habitat homes with the majority of hours being invested in their own home. They must then pay back the actual cost of the home through a non-interest bearing mortgage, with monthly payments of principal, taxes, and insurance. This system has the effect of building self-esteem in the partner families, which benefits the individual family and the community as a whole. Visit www.habitatsouthpalmbeach.org.
