DRS and Associates is not a typical boutique PR agency by any means. We have developed a unique hybrid approach combining public relations, social media, brand consulting and marketing practices to provide our clients with a complete spectrum of services to obtain optimal results.
For many clients, DRS becomes an extension of their sales and marketing team by developing strategic communication programs, direct and digital marketing campaigns, advertising and comprehensive, experiential branding. With offices in Los Angeles, New York and Boston, our creative approach to targeting luxury lifestyle consumers and the architectural, interior design, hospitality and building products arenas is both strategic and effective. We are recognized globally for our understanding and expertise of the Architecture and Design market.
Client: Littman Brands is a family of companies that provides a full range of premium lighting solutions, from outdoor landscape lighting to museum-quality, handmade decorative centerpieces. Littman Brands is divided into five subsidiary brands— Troy Lighting, Troy Landscape Lighting, Corbett Lighting, Creative Systems Lighting and Hudson Valley Lighting— each with its own distinct personality and characteristics (and some with very specific tasks and functional requirements).
Challenge: To create a singular social media platform for a privately held lighting powerhouse (Littman Brands Lighting) that owns multiple brands without diluting the potential of an engaged online fan base that fits the profile for each brand.
Solution: “Larger Than Light”— a Facebook community for lovers of lighting and great design. With creative content including lighting inspiration, installation, lifestyle features and practical tips, fans engage with the individual brands and products through direct and indirect methods. Attracting fans who may not know the brands but who love unique and decorative lighting creates a bigger fan base than separate Facebook pages for each brand could alone. With this large, loyal and engaged fan base, the Larger Than Light community continues to grow. With a unique twist on current marketing trends, DRS takes online content back to print. Larger Than Light magazine, a natural print publication designed for retail showrooms and consumers, is filled with inspirational lighting content, in depth articles, and interviews with top designers. This magazine supplements the Facebook page and further expands the brands.
